Newtons first law of motion is an object at rest will remain at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. If you slide a hockey puck on ice it will stop because of friction on the ice.
Newton's second law is acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass (of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed (to accelerate the object). if you push a car and a truck with the same force you would move the car not the truck because the car weighs less.
Newton's third law is action reaction, For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action. when air rushes out of a balloon the opposite reaction is that the balloon flies up.
